As a Highlands Ranch native, I've seen many tutoring companies spring up to fuel the need for academic help in the local area over the last 15 years. However the quantity of experienced mentors to fill these roles has remained abysmally low.

Tulaka's philosophy is simple, you can't teach what you don't understand (at least not very well). Learning material under academic supervision and applying those skills in the real world foster very different understandings of the material, a difference that is pivotal to the success of passing that knowledge on. With the need for qualified individuals in the sciences growing dramatically every year, this concept is becoming increasingly more central. Educational bodies are stressing career-applicable knowledge more then ever, STEM learning being the current example. I want to provide students and aspiring professionals the knowledge and resources they need to thrive in not only future academic ventures, but ultimately professional avenues as well.

Here are some of my professional qualifications:

• I hold a Bachelors in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado

• A journal publication in the field of human developmental embryology

• Years of experience in the field of Forensic Toxicology, including running the method development department of the most widely used forensic toxicology lab in the state

• I've worked in Private Sector/University collaborations regarding immunological research and development projects

• Tutored at-risk students at Boulder High School in traditional subject matter
